Privacy Policy — UTM Tag Builder

UTM Tag Builder is a Chrome extension that builds UTM-tagged campaign URLs. This policy explains, in plain terms, what the extension does and does not do with your information.

Data we collect

None. The extension has no server, no account system and no analytics. Nothing you type into it is transmitted anywhere, and the developer never receives, sees or stores any of it.

What is stored on your device

To spare you retyping the same values, the extension saves the contents of its form — the destination URL, source, medium, campaign, content and term — using Chrome's local storage API. This data:

• stays on your own computer, inside your Chrome profile;
• is readable only by this extension;
• is never sent over a network;
• is deleted when you remove the extension, or when you clear it with the "Clear" button.

Access to the page you are on

The extension requests the activeTab permission. It reads the web address of your current tab at one moment only: when you have opened the popup and pressed "Use current tab". The address is placed in the form field on screen so you can tag it. It is not logged, not uploaded and not retained beyond the form value described above. The extension does not read page content, and it cannot access any tab you have not explicitly acted on.

Third parties

The extension contains no third-party code, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no external requests. Your data is not sold, transferred or shared with anyone, because none of it ever leaves your device.

Remote code

All code executed by the extension is contained in the published package. Nothing is fetched or evaluated from a remote source.

Children

The extension is a general-purpose productivity tool and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone, regardless of age.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of the extension changes how information is handled, this page will be updated before that version is published, and the date at the top will change.
